a. General. This high velocity projectile (fig.
42) is used against armored targets. This projectile, which is of conventional monobloc design, consists of a hardened steel projectile
body, a forged-aluminum windshield, two separate gilding metal rotating bands fitted near
the base of the projectile, and a tracer of the
IV15series, which is screwed into the base of
the projectile. The complete round consists of
the proieetile and the cased propelling charge
