A Japanese Kinju katana, especially high-grade in excellent condition. Brought back by a Friend’s father who was a Naval officer. Sword still has the surrender tag on it. Listing a 2nd Lieutenant Kyosou Masao from the Shichiura 2169 Troop Army. The sword has been in his sea chest since the late 1950’s. I have written documents as the history of who brought it back to the USA and when.
The 1st 2 words on the blade are kinju Saku. A Japanese Kinju katana, especially a high-grade or historical one, is extremely valuable, often a rare masterpiece by a student of the legendary Masamune, potentially worth tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars, with some certified Juyo Token (important cultural property) examples being exceptionally rare and prized collector’s items.
