US NAVY SPECIALIST MARK – SIGNALMAN FROM 1921-1948 & 1957 TO PRESENT. According to the regulations in 1921 established as a separate specialty from the ratings of Quartermaster. And returned to the Quartermaster ratings in 1948. Re-established as a separate rating in 1957. Distinguishing marks: Signalmen 1918-1921 and Seeman Signalman 1927-1945.

To be worn on the right sleeve below the rating badge prior to 1921.
