Description

This is a United States Army shoulder sleeve insignia for the 103rd Infantry Division, famously known as the “Cactus Division”.  The patch design, featuring a saguaro cactus, represents the Southwestern states of Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico, where the unit’s troops were originally drawn from in the 1920s.

• The patch consists of a green cactus set against a gold circle representing the sun, over a blue base representing the ground.

• This specific version appears to be a vintage, cut-edge patch likely dating from World War II.
