RUSSIAN OIL BOTTLES Some time in the 1930’s, the Russians switched to a rectangular 2-chamber bottle. The chambers are marked W/H, pronounced shchalok and neft, translating to alkaline solution and oil. This is the version generally used throughout WW2.
