This bandolier was filled with 150 rounds of Radway Green 5.56mm ammunition for use with the SA80 service rifle. Each of the five pockets would hold three 10 round stripper clips. Interestingly these bandoliers can also be found reissued to take 75 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition for the GPMG. Apparently the army ran out of cotton bandoliers for this ammunition in the mid-1990s and so substituted these nylon bandoliers, with reduced capacity, each pocket holding three 5-round clips of the larger caliber rounds.
